A 34-year-old Växjö resident is sentenced to seven years and ten months in prison for smuggling large quantities of cannabis. The man allegedly made six smuggling trips from Spain to Kronoberg County between August 2020 and January 2021.
In total, just over 1.3 tonnes of cannabis have been brought into the country. An accomplice, a man in his 50s living in Jönköping County, is also sentenced to five years in prison. The verdict is seen by the prosecutor as a result of a larger effort against serious organized crime.
