Japan will provide support to protect Ukraine's cultural properties and improve the educational environment through UNESCO. A signing ceremony was held on the 7th in Paris, France, where UNESCO's headquarters are located.

Japan will contribute approximately 14.6 million dollars, or approximately 2 billion yen in Japanese yen, to UNESCO this year. The plan is to train educators to restore and protect the Odesa Historic Center, a world heritage site that was damaged by the Russian attack. It will also provide psychological care for children and students who are suffering from the psychological burden of the military invasion.
