Several hundred demonstrators responded to the call for a new common opposition front, Fippu. Protesters are calling for the presidential election to be held before April 2 in Dakar on March 2, 2024.
The football field on which they gathered in Yoff filled up from 3 p.m., to be almost full at the end. The demonstrators chanted “April 2 terminus”, or even “Macky demal’, ‘Macky go away’.
