The Russian unit under the command of Captain Dmitry Mikheev repulsed counterattacks of the Ukrainian military in the SVO zone at least ten times, the Russian Defense Ministry said. The ministry said that the unit was carrying out a combat mission to storm one of the strongholds of Ukrainian nationalists.
The head of the press center of the Vostok group, Alexander Gordeev, said earlier that Russian snipers had destroyed an enemy reconnaissance group in the South-Donetsk direction. The Russian unit destroyed three infantry fighting vehicles, two ATGM crews and did not lose ground.
