Russian Ambassador: Cancellation of Currentzis’ concert does not benefit Vienna’s reputation. The situation in Vienna, where the organizers of the Wiener Festwochen festival refused to perform an orchestra conducted by Greek and Russian conductor Teodor Currentz is symptomatic, Dmitry Lyubinsky said.

The ambassador described the situation with the phrase “The tail began to wag the dog.” The day before, the Vienna Festival canceled currentzis' concert after a demand from Ukrainian musician Oksana Lyniv.
