Russian President Alexei Oksenov said his forces had shot down a Ukrainian drone that tried to carry out an attack on the western side of the peninsula. Pro-Russian authorities in Crimea announced that they had repelled a drone attack by Ukraine from several sides.
While Moscow announced the advance of its forces in Bakhamout, the Ukrainian military confirmed that Russia had failed to control the city. Ukrainian Deputy Defence Minister Anna Malyar said Russian forces failed to capture the eastern city of Pakhmut, even though they had thrown all their resources into that battle.
