Director of the Institute for the Study of Contemporary Politics Anton Orlov proposed doubling the amount of tax deduction for the purchase of housing for large families. A copy of the letter addressed to the head of the Ministry of Labor Anton Kotyakov is at RT’s disposal.

In the appeal, the political scientist noted that currently Russian tax legislation provides for tax deductions that citizens can use once during their lifetime when purchasing housing, including a separate deduction when purchasing an apartment or house with a mortgage. “As part of the implementation of state policy to stimulate the birth rate and support large families, I ask you to consider the advisability of doubling the amounts of tax deductions,” the appeal says.
