Anton Orlov, director of the Institute for the Study of Contemporary Politics, sent a letter to the head of the Ministry of Health. The political scientist noted that for many years, as part of the implementation of state policy to reduce tobacco smoking in Russian society, retail enterprises have been prohibited from openly displaying tobacco products.

Orlov recalled that owners of specialized trading enterprises often use large signs “Tobacco”, “tobacco shop’, etc. to attract customers, which are placed on buildings.
