Negotiations on construction of a fiber-optic communication line (FOCL) between Russia, Iran and Kazakhstan will be held on February 15–20 in Moscow. The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made a proposal at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on December 25.
He added that the Iranian side confirmed its interest in the construction of fiber- optic lines. The next stage of negotiations will be more specific, and it will be organized in the Russian Federation, and we have agreed on specific dates.
