Summing up the results of the negotiations with Iranian representatives, Musin noted that during the discussions the parties noted the importance of this project. He added that the Iranian side confirmed its interest in the construction of fiber-optic lines.

“The next stage of negotiations will be more specific, and it will be organized in the Russian Federation, and we have agreed on specific dates: the meeting will take place on February 15–20 in Moscow,” TASS quotes Musin as saying.

The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made a proposal to build a fiber-optic line between the three countries at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on December 25.
