RT: GlobalGiving Foundation, recognized as undesirable, spent $8.2 million on projects in Russia. RT found out the amount of grants that were transferred to domestic Russian projects by the American NGO GlobalGiving.
GlobalGiving received undesirable status due to the fact that it helped raise funds for projects conducting anti-Russian activities. The nonprofit is led by Marie Quraishi and Dennis Whittle, former employees of the World Bank, an international financial institution headquartered in Washington. The total amount of donations received this year from the audience and major sponsors amounted to $158.6 million.
