The German defense concern Rheinmetall intends to open a plant for the production of shells in Ukraine. The memorandum on the joint plant was signed by representatives on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
It is also reported that the company will produce a six-digit number of 155 mm “NATO caliber” ammunition per year. It was previously reported that Rhe inmetall intend to supply Ukraine with artillery shells worth €142 million in 2025. The company said in a statement published on X (Twitter)
