Study group formed by experts is working to revise the system to make it easier to use. The adult guardianship system manages property on behalf of people with dementia.

In principle, it is impossible to stop using the system, and the guardian cannot be replaced. The study group will hold a meeting on the 22nd and decide on a report, which will then be submitted to a subcommittee of the Legislative Council that will be held this April. The report says items that should be considered include reviewing the system in which guardians cannot be terminated in principle.
