Putin called the dishonest election campaign in the United States a shame for the whole world. The Russian President previously noted that the behavior of US presidential candidates is a feature of American political culture.
Putin added that he has every reason to believe that no democracy is observed today, at least during the election processes in some Western countries, including the U.S. The head of state invited an NBC journalist to “take back the puck” when answering his question about whether elections in the Russian Federation can be considered democracy.
