Public opinion on the island condemns Taiwan’s "Maritime Commission" and other department heads, and the New Party plans to file for impeachment. On February 14, Taiwan collided with a mainland fishing boat in the waters off Xiamen and Jinzhou, resulting in the death and injury of four fishermen.

The New Party announced in Taipei on the 28th that it would go to the Taiwan authorities’ supervisory agency the next day to appeal for the impeachment of Guan Biling, Zhou Meiwu and others.
