China News Service, Taipei, February 28 (Reporter Yang Chengchen) The truth of the vicious ship collision in Kinmen on February 14 remains unclear.

Public opinion in Taiwan has focused on the evasive words and deeds of Taiwan's "Ocean Commission Chairman" Guan Biling, "Coast Patrol Director" Zhou Meiwu and others. Newly disclosed information shows that they have been inconsistent many times.

The New Party announced in Taipei on the 28th that it would go to the Taiwan authorities’ supervisory agency the next day to appeal for the impeachment of Guan Biling, Zhou Meiwu and others.

On February 14, Taiwan collided with a mainland fishing boat in the waters off Xiamen and Jinzhou, resulting in the death and injury of four fishermen.

In the past two weeks, the DPP authorities have not apologized for this vicious incident, nor have they released relevant images of the incident.

Some politicians ignored the fact that Taiwanese coast patrol personnel caused the death of mainland fishermen, and some rhetoric aroused strong dissatisfaction among knowledgeable people on the island.

New Party Chairman Wu Chengdian went to Kinmen on the 20th to express condolences to the victims and visit their families.

He said at a press conference on the 28th that if the incident cannot be resolved properly as soon as possible, the consequences will be disastrous.

He believed that Guan Biling was particularly derelict in her duties.

Since the problem cannot be solved, the "political officer" should step down.

As for Taiwan's "Coastal Patrol Office" claiming that it did not record the incident because it was an emergency and there was no time to operate, New Party spokesperson Chen Liling pointed out that if it is true as they said, the person in charge of the "Maritime Commission" and "Coastal Patrol Office" is also responsible for the oversight.

Wu Chengdian once served as the public opinion representative of Kinmen County.

He believes that if the two sides of the Taiwan Strait treat each other as brothers, the Jinmen-Xiamen waters can be shared by both sides; if the two sides treat each other as "enemies," Kinmen people will have no way to continue living here.

Jin Xia is a member of the family, and the living circles of the two places have always been integrated. He called on the DPP authorities to "stop ruining Kinmen."

Voices of "hope Guan Biling will step down" have been heard on the island a few days ago.

Xu Qiaoxin, a "legislator" of the Chinese Kuomintang, said that an internal report from the "Coast Patrol Administration" showed that the specific time of the collision was inconsistent with what was announced by the "Coast Patrol Administration".

The "United Daily News" column "Black and White Collection" published an article on the 28th stating that the crux of the incident was that the Taiwan side could not provide conclusive evidence to prove its credibility, resulting in the truth being unclear.

Xiong Naiqi, deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper, published a separate article saying that the Kinmen District Prosecutor’s Office may be able to put an end to the dispute by clarifying the facts as soon as possible, disclosing the results, and accepting inspection.

He believes that the Coast Guard did not explain the incident clearly at the first moment of the incident, and later claimed that the incident was a high-speed chase and that relevant personnel failed to obtain evidence collection equipment. The authenticity of the relevant statements has been questioned.

Wang Yixiong, a former "legislator" of the Democratic Progressive Party, also said that the DPP authorities did not disclose the facts immediately, but accused the mainland fishing boats of "three noes", "not like fishing" and "unclear intentions", turning the incident into a political issue; this It was a deep blow to the emotions of the people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

He said that after the incident, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council provided solutions to the problem frankly and directly, leaving Taiwan with ample room for action.

If the Taiwan side candidly announce the incident, without concealment or favoritism, and provide due compensation and comfort, I believe the incident will not be like this.
