Prime Minister Kishida met with Prime Minister Meloni of Italy, who visited Japan as the chairman of the G7 = seven major countries, on the night of the 5th. The two leaders confirmed that they will unite in addressing various challenges facing the international community, including the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East, as well as nuclear disarmament and AI.

He also welcomed the progress being made in the joint development of the next generation fighter aircraft between the two countries and the UK.
