The summit meeting, which served as the venue for the handover of the G7 Presidency last year and this year, was held at the Prime Minister's Office.



During the meeting, Prime Minister Kishida praised Prime Minister Meloni's willingness to inherit the results of the Hiroshima Summit, and conveyed that he would spare no effort in cooperating towards the success of the Summit in Italy in June. I did.



The two leaders confirmed that they will unite in addressing various challenges facing the international community, including the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East, as well as nuclear disarmament and AI.



He also welcomed the progress being made in the joint development of the next generation fighter aircraft between the two countries and the UK, and called for stronger cooperation in the security field through consultations between the foreign and defense authorities scheduled for March.
