Hundreds of reservist police officers have been trained for two years at the Lognes training center, in Seine-et-Marne. The idea is to be able to count on a pool of mobilizable forces as is the case with the gendarmerie or the firefighters.

The rest of the training takes place about fifteen kilometers away, at the Chessy police station. The student police officers learn how to carry out a pat-down and if the situation requires it, the reservists can, like the regulars, go further in the arrest.
