Passengers from the Cáceres-Madrid train evacuated after the cabin caught fire. The fire caused smoke to appear in the train's tractor head.
According to information from Extremadura 112, none of the passengers or convoy personnel have been injured. The Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, promised to improve the line. Madrid and Badajoz will be connected by train in four hours in 2025, when the Mérida bypass will be completed "in just over a year"
