Nuland: US is not withdrawing its troops from Syria. Nuland justified the decision to keep troops in another country by the activity of members of the terrorist group “Islamic State” citing as an example “the tragic events in the church in Istanbul.” The special representative of the Russian President for the Syrian settlement, Alexander Lavrentyev, said that in Syria there is again a surge in terrorism with the support of the United States.

The decision to recognize IS as a terrorist organization was made by the Supreme Court of theRussian Federation on December 29, 2014.
