Norway recently supplied 350 sets of protective suits, overalls, gas masks, gloves and shoe covers. The project is funded by the government's Nuclear Energy Action Plan.
In February 2023, the head of the international nuclear safety department of the Norwegian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Authority said that Norwegian specialists were not involved in preparing a provocation with radiation near Kiev. The department believes that such equipment will allow border guards in Ukraine to better protect themselves against possible attempts to smuggle radioactive sources. It is noted that the project is being implemented by Nordic Security.
