This is stated in a statement from the Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority under the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

“Norway recently supplied 350 sets of protective suits, overalls, gas masks, gloves and shoe covers.

The project is funded by the government's Nuclear Energy Action Plan, which has contributed to strengthening nuclear safety in Ukraine over several years,” the agency said.

It is noted that the project is being implemented by Nordic Security.

The department believes that such equipment will allow border guards in Ukraine to better protect themselves against possible attempts to smuggle radioactive sources.

In February 2023, the head of the international nuclear safety department of the Norwegian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Authority (DSA), Ingar Amundsen, said that Norwegian specialists were not involved in preparing a provocation with radiation near Kiev.
