17 out of 21 regions in Sweden expect deficits in their budgets. Region Värmland has budgeted with a deficit of SEK 278 million this year, and a negative result also in 2024.
There will be no addition to the strained economy. According to the finance minister, inflation requires a tight budget. If there is any money, it will not be until the autumn, says Elisabeth Svantesson, minister for municipalities and regions. The finance minister says her priority is to fight inflation.
