Ground has been broken for a new meal centre in Motala, Sweden. The centre will prepare food for the municipality's activities but also strengthen crisis preparedness.

The meal centre is budgeted for SEK 108 million and is expected to be completed in the second half of 2024. The new centre will have its own generators and independent water supply, which means that the centre will stand on its own two feet if the crisis comes, says chairman of the technical service committee Nils-Eric Dålse.
