Moscow called the protection of compatriots in Transnistria one of the priorities. All requests from Tiraspol are considered by the Russian relevant departments “with attention.” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that Moscow will not allow 200 thousand Russian citizens in TransNistria to become victims of “another Western adventure” to destabilize the region.

Earlier it was reported that Transnstria turned to Russia due to pressure and blockade from the Moldovan authorities.
