Ministry of Transport has Deutschlandticket checked twice through reports. Experts expect costs to run into the millions.
The federal and state governments have already commissioned such an investigation. The companies organized there operate the local transport, which you can use with the ticket for currently 49 euros per month. The ministry justifies itself that medium-term effects cannot be “fully” recorded in this way; the aim is to continue the ticket in 2026. The ministry does not want to reveal the costs of the new investigation.
