Ministry of Transport: carriers are not required to collect additional data on passengers. Earlier, Kommersant wrote that the Russian Ministry of Transport had prepared a draft order, according to which, from September 1, carriers will be required to transfer bank card data, IP addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses and passenger account passwords to a single database.
This was announced by Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Dmitry Bakanov. The new order does not oblige carriers to collect extra information about passengers, TASS quotes him as saying.
