Emergency Situations Ministry employees are strengthening the dam using 33 heavy trucks and five front loaders. Earlier, the Head of Orenberg, Sergei Salmin, called on residents of suburban villages and SNT to evacuate due to the rise of the river. “The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situation, together with representatives of the local administration, are evacuating residents from a possible flooding zone, carrying people with limited mobility and the elderly in their arms,” the statement says.
