According to the ministry, a total of 12 temporary accommodation centers are ready to accept residents.

It is reported that 240 specialists and 113 pieces of equipment are eliminating the consequences of the dam break. Emergency Situations Ministry employees are strengthening the dam using 33 heavy trucks and five front loaders.

“The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with representatives of the local administration, are evacuating residents from a possible flooding zone, carrying people with limited mobility and the elderly in their arms,” the statement says.

Earlier, the Head of Orenburg, Sergei Salmin, called on residents of suburban villages and SNT to evacuate due to the rise of the river.
