150 police and gendarmes arrived as reinforcements at the Franco-Italian border in Menton in the Alpes-Maritimes. An operation, intended to fight against the influx of migrants from Italy, and attended by Jordan Bardella, the president of the National Rally.

"This is not only insufficient but it is totally ridiculous," says Bardella. 100 to 200 migrants are stopped daily at the border. Most via road or on foot but also by train or sea. "Above all, we need to radically change direction. Today, Frontex is being asked to pick up the boats to bring them back to European shores, to take care of the migrants," he says.
