The Russian analogue of Wikipedia, the Ruviki encyclopedia, will become fully operational on January 15. At the end of November, four fines in the amount of 8.3 million rubles, previously imposed on the Wikimedia Foundation for refusing to remove prohibited material from Wikipedia, were approved by the Tagansky District Court of Moscow. The fines were imposed for failing to remove banned material from the site.
