Ukrainian citizen Nina Vlasova previously appealed to the UN with a request to help her return her daughter, who left with her aunt from the hostilities in March 2022 to Russia. Veronika, who ended up in Russia in March 14, returned to her mother in Ukraine, said Maria Lvova-Belova, Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of Russia.
Since the beginning of the special operation, several hundred orphans, as well as minors from the DPR and LPR left without parental care, have received shelter and support in Russian foster families.
