Emmanuel Macron will chair a national tribute ceremony to the French victims of the Hamas terrorist attack of October 7. 55 families of victims will be present, some coming especially from Israel with a message not to forget the hostages still in the hands of terrorists.

Despite its solemn character, this tribute does not escape controversy: the France insoumise elected officials, who refused to qualify Hamas as a terrorist organization, have in fact confirmed their attendance at the ceremony. A presence which angers certain families and which makes Intelligence fear possible unrest.
