Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won a new and final constitutional term of 5 years. He obtained 52.87% of the votes in the presidential run-off, while his rival Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu received 47.13%.

Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani congratulated the Turkish president on his victory. In Europe, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said he congratulated Erdogan on his "well-deserved victory" in the election.
