The conflict raging in Sudan has plunged the country's inhabitants into a catastrophic situation. People in the capital Khartoum have been forced to barricade themselves in their homes for days, and soon they will run out of food and water.

"Power outages and broken internet connections are exacerbating the situation," says Christophe Sacko, global head of security at Läkarmissionen. He is responsible for the evacuation of the organization's staff from the country. But that in no way means that we will abandon Sudan, he says.
