Killing of the Cévennes sawmill: 30 years required against the accused, including 20 years of security. Valentin Marcone, tried for having shot dead his boss and a colleague in May 2021 at the Plantiers sawmill.

In his indictment before the Gard assizes, the attorney general, Bertrand Baboulène, considered that premeditation was not established and that these were therefore not assassinations but only murders committed concomitantly. He also considered that ValentinMarcone's discernment was "impaired" at the time of the events.
