A gas explosion occurred in Kenya, East Africa, late on the 1st, killing two people and sending more than 200 people to the hospital. According to a Kenyan government spokesperson, a truck loaded with gas exploded in the capital Nairobi.
The fire spread to surrounding businesses, commercial facilities, and residences, and as the fire occurred late at night, many residents were at home and were engulfed by the fire. Footage distributed by the Associated Press shows flames raging in the darkness and occasional explosions.
