Kazakhstan holds an enlarged government meeting to clarify economic development goals. President Tokayev said the economy should be fully opened.

Uncontrolled monopoly, unfair resource distribution, and illegal competition methods should be eliminated, he said. The government’s main task is to ensure residents’ daily necessities, he told the meeting. The national economic growth rate will reach 5.1% in 2023, he added, in order to achieve the goal of increasing the economic scale to 450 billion US dollars by 2029.
