Tokayev pointed out at the meeting that the national economic growth rate will reach 5.1% in 2023. In order to achieve the goal of increasing the economic scale to 450 billion US dollars by 2029, the national economic growth rate must be maintained at 6% every year. At the same time, he believes that the government should also improve tax management efficiency to achieve maximum economic benefits; increase foreign investment, optimize the business environment, and create conditions for attracting foreign investment.
Tokayev clearly proposed at the meeting that the economy should be fully opened. This is considered by Tokayev to be a very important reform that "can gradually reduce the state's excessive intervention in the economy. Uncontrolled monopoly, unfair resource distribution, and illegal competition methods should be eliminated."

When talking about the direction of economic development, Tokayev said that Kazakhstan’s logistics and transportation potential should continue to be enhanced, and economic digitization and the widespread application of artificial intelligence technology should be carried out.
