Israel is considering appointing the Palestinian Authority's intelligence director as governor of Gaza after the end of the war. The proposal stipulates that Majid Faraj will take over the administration of Gaza with the help of figures who do not include a member of the Hamas movement.

The leader of the opposition in Israel, Yair Lapid, said, "It is natural for us to mention Faraj's name, as he is one of the figures who worked most with us against Hamas" This comes as leaks indicate that Washington is pressuring Tel Aviv to present a vision of its vision for managing Gaza.
