Insee: the flow of immigrants arriving in France in 2022 increased compared to previous years. An increase particularly linked to the context of the war in Ukraine.
Between 2021 and 2022, the number of Ukrainians entering France has increased almost 30-fold. Ukrainian nationals, two-thirds of whom are women. According to INSEE, seven million immigrants lived in France. in 2022, or 10.3% of the total population. For comparison, the immigrant population represented 7.4% of. the population living in French in 1975 and 5% in 1946.
