The Federation Council approved a bill on confiscation of property for disseminating fakes about the army. The bill will extend these measures to crimes against the security of the Russian Federation.
It is proposed to seize property from persons convicted of disseminating deliberately false information about the RF Armed Forces, discrediting them, as well as public calls for extremist activities, separatism and the introduction of sanctions against Russia. The State Duma approved the document during a meeting on January 31. It will make it possible to deprive such persons of honorary titles and confiscate their property.
