ICC prosecutor reports on Darfur situation to Security Council. Karim Khan spoke by video from Adré, Chad, where he met with refugees from Darfur.
The ICC was seized of crimes in Darfur in March 2005. Only one accused is currently on trial. The other suspects, ex-ministers as well as former president Omar al-Bashir, are still in Sudan. The prosecutor denounced the crimes committed by both parties and asked for cooperation from states. But the delegate from Sudan rejected the prosecutor's reproaches.
