House of Representatives Political Ethics Review Committee held on 28th and 29th Official decision to be made at executive committee. This will be the first time that a review committee has been held since 2009.
First time that members of the Diet will attend and provide explanations since 2006. The Liberal Democratic Party has proposed allowing members to observe the hearing, considering that out of the past nine review meetings, only one was closed to the public. The opposition parties have argued that this is an opportunity to explain to the people and we cannot allow it to be held in private.
