The mallard that nested in a large pot on the square in Umeå has had young. Sausage seller Helmer Holm moved the mother and cubs to the river.
"I think the spirit is much better off being by the river than in the middle of town where there are so many people," he says. The ducklings were moved with the help of other visitors to Rådhustorget in the city centre. The County Administrative Board had no comments on the ducks being moved.
