[HIGHLIGHTS] Here, 6,000-year-old remains will be excavated

A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the largest archaeological investigation in Östergötland ever. It took place in Pryssgården on the northwestern outskirts of Norrköping and people have lived here for 6,000 years.Archaeologists expect to find and examine entire farm environments.

Probably from the Late Bronze Age and Early Iron Age, around 1100 BC. The first settlers settled here already during the Peasant Age, about 6,.000 years ago. The area has been more or less permanently inhabited since then.
