Hate crimes against Muslims double in Britain after the Gaza war. Women were the targets in almost two-thirds of the cases.

Women are thought to be particularly vulnerable to Islamophobic abuse, because their clothing is more likely to identify them as Muslim. The Tell MAMA Association, which monitors incidents of Islamophobia and anti-Muslim practices on British soil, recorded 2010 cases during the period between the seventh of last October and the 7th of this February, an increase of 235% from the past months.
