British data showed that reports of violations against Muslims in the United Kingdom have increased more than three times since the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

The Tell MAMA Association, which monitors incidents of Islamophobia and anti-Muslim practices on British soil, recorded 2010 cases during the period between the seventh of last October and the seventh of this February, an increase of 235% from the 600 incidents recorded during the past months. The same four as the previous year.

The British Society added that 901 cases of assault occurred offline, and 1,109 cases occurred online.

She explained that women were the targets in almost two-thirds of the cases, “which demonstrates once again that British Muslim women have borne the brunt of anti-Muslim hatred during this time.”

Women are thought to be particularly vulnerable to Islamophobic abuse, because their clothing is more likely to identify them as Muslim.

The association's director, Iman Atta, said in a statement that "this increase in hatred against Muslims is unacceptable," expressing her hope that politicians will speak out publicly that "hatred against Muslims, such as anti-Semitism, is unacceptable in the country."

She added, "We are deeply concerned about the effects of Israel's war on hate crimes and on social cohesion in the United Kingdom," and continued, "It is essential now more than ever that we maintain, strengthen and protect the bonds that bind us between communities."
