The strike was launched at the call of several trade union organizations, to force PM to restore peace and security in Haiti and free the country's roads from armed gangs. This Monday, commercial activities operated slowly in Haiti,. and many educational establishments remained closed. Most residents have not left their homes, including in the capital Port-au-Prince.
